Mr. Martin concentrates his practice in complex civil litigation with special emphasis in complex business litigation, construction litigation, insurance disputes and bad faith, and major personal injury claims. He is recognized as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and has numerous published decisions ranging from defamation, labor, construction, personal injury, and insurance coverage to various procedural issues.
Mr. Martin is a civil trial attorney. Simply, this means that he is a specialist, when it is necessary for a case to go to trial for anything other than a criminal case. Accordingly, over the years between arbitration, bench and jury trials, Mr. Martin has done over 50 trials. Mr. Martin has been lead counsel and has tried cases ranging from wrongful death, public works, insurance disputes, bad faith disputes, condemnation, inverse condemnations, public takings, privilege licenses, catastrophic injury, defamation, business torts, and contractual business disputes. Mr. Martin has always worked hard to try to resolve a case short of trial. However, it is important that the other side in the dispute knows that competent trial counsel is ready, willing and able to go forward with trial, should one prove necessary. To that end, Mr. Martin has been certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a civil trial specialist. Mr. Martin is also recognized by SuperLawyers as a super lawyer in the state of Nevada. Additionally, Mr. Martin has received the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a rating of AV.
